I had a jolt of panic when I sat down to write this month’s Sticky Note. It’s a franchise that relies on my habit of getting dressed, and truth be told, I did very little of that in November. I’ve been under the weather quite a bit and primarily housebound as a result, wearing the same pair of red sweatpants and a rotation of oversized T-shirts on repeat… not the type of hyperfixation outfits I’m inclined to wax poetic about.

So instead of my usual end-of-month column, I’m going rogue and publishing something that felt more conducive to my state of mind: 45 holiday-apropos secondhand finds, culled from the the contents of my various saved folders across the internet. It’s exactly what I felt like putting together, and I thought it might also be what you’re in the mood to scroll through before unplugging pre-Thanksgiving. The links are organized into five categories:

  1. Keeping cozy (the IDEAL vintage fair isle sweater for $55, a handful of very hard-to-find vintage 100% cotton velvet (!!!) jackets, and a tartan skirt I’ll buy myself if no one else does).

  2. All things shiny (featuring an incredible Ralph Lauren silk metallic skirt for $56, a lustrous Proenza pleated midi for $132, vintage belts and hair accessories, and other eye-catching delights).

  3. Ruffled confections (the Saint Laurent dress for $195 is a standout here, as is the vintage silk blouse for $59 that’s begging to be paired with your favorite pair of black cigarette pants).

  4. Feather-trimmed (the perfect winter black-tie dress for $148 is waiting for you here).

  5. Tied up with a bow (some good stuff for your hair and ears).

Enjoy!
