You’ve made a great case for maxi skirts that I feel like I haven’t worn in a number of years! Lovely summer wardrobe round up 🤍

What a generous post! Love everything and feel inspired…. It can sometimes be difficult to motivate myself to get dressed when my day is spent with a toddler

This was such a great round-up of inspiration! It's motivating me to get into my closet and preemptively catalog some looks before making any (more) summer purchases!

It is so refreshing to see a lookbook that doesn't overly rely on microtrends that actually takes the climate into consideration! Beautifully done and actually functional!

that was definitely the intent, so glad it resonated!

Thank you for putting this together! It's like you're doing my shopping for me - I instantly bought a few pairs of those Gap shorts since I've been on the market for better bottoms to wear during my workouts and they fit the bill perfectly. Looking forward to those new summer gym-short outfits. :)

I've been meaning to ask about that Eliou shirt and the Suzanne Rae shoes, so I was THRILLED to read where you got them. So bummed both are out of stock in my size, I should have asked sooner!

Suzanne consistently restocks that style so worth keeping an eye on!!

Hi! Loved these outfits. Curious if you have bra style suggestions for under the tanks -- I was a teen when visible straps were cool, and in my 30s, I think I'm supposed to hide them? Please help me out! (No bra is not an option for me, but love that for others!)

personally i don't mind a strap showing but only if it's black. feels like more of an intentional styling choice than, say, a skin-colored strap which feels completely utilitarian. So that's what I usually wear with these tanks. But! I recently got some of these Uniqlo "bra tops" that look really similar to the tanks above except they have built-in cups:

Interesting point re intentionality! I think I could get behind that. Do you think it makes an outfit more casual or that it is more or less appropriate in certain settings?

omg these Uniqlo tanks are brilliant. as was the whole post 😘

This bra has worked really well for me for racerback-y tanks! And the strap is so skinny it doesn’t bother me if it sticks out a little bit https://www.shopbop.com/loren-seamless-bra-splits59/vp/v=1/1556136040.htm

Loved this. Do you know if your L.L. Bean tote has regular or extra long straps?

Expand full comment

This is def the long straps! Short ones only fit over a wrist (tried as shoulder bag and failed, haha)

Love these, I'm more of a tank top and jeans person but you reminded me I have dresses and skirts somewhere. Also I shall shamelessly admit to looking for the photo-bombing baby in each photo, how adorable and real 😁

so glad it was helpful! and yes haha he is pretty much velcro-ed to me 24/7 so inevitably makes an appearance in my mirror selfies :)

What size are you wearing in the merlette dress for reference - love it but it’s final sale so need more info!

I'm wearing a 4, which is my usual size. It's a little big for me in the bust / arm area so I need to get it tailored there at some point, but otherwise fits TTS
